The Jefferson Grid is a great way to understand the affects of the 1785 Land Ordinance on the landscape of the non-Eastern US. It is so beautiful to see the specificity of use within the squares which defy the topography and ecology of the land they attempt to contain. I can't choose a favorite; they are all so beautiful and strange.
