Storefront for Art and Architecture
Storefront for Art and Architecture is a nonprofit group that has programs/exhibits relating to architecture, art and design. They put on exhibitions, artist talks, film screenings, and conferences. They were founded in 1982 and are have been located in New York the whole time. Here's the link to their home page. And here are a couple of my favorite pavilions that they built and exhibits that they put on. The Spacebuster, The Ring Dome Pavilion (it's built out of hula hoops and zip ties), Painting Urbanism, and Archizines + Arch-Art! Books.
